Meet The Founder, K. DaMon Blackmon

Recognizing a need for positive role models in disenfranchised communities,  DaMon Blackmon shared his vision with a South Fulton based church in Fairburn, GA in 2008. Mr. Blackmon's collaboration with the church launched the 1st Annual Male Enrichment Event to reach out to several youth males within the community. This Male Enrichment Event continues to date. In continuing his purpose of assisting the development of young men, DaMon Blackmon, a mentor and public speaker stepped into his purpose in 2017 by starting the Future Mountain Movers INC., a 501(c)3 non-profit Leadership Development Program (FMM INC.). The program provides young men with the developmental skills and support system to transition from young males to positive, productive and successful Adult Men. His ability to rally men of the community to show up as leaders and role models has impacted the growth of countless young men and built a bridge to better relationships between boys and men in the community by ensuring that they establish better communication, understanding and trust among men to become Future Mountain Movers. In 2017, Mr. Blackmon headed the call of the women and mothers in the community who supported his cause, and he begin to spearhead the "Women Calling Men To Action: Save Our Community Initiative," which is a documentary and clarion call from women to love, empower and encourage male involvement within the growth and development of our youth and community. Mr. Blackmon continues his work with the support of his family, volunteers, and supporters to take Future Mountain Movers from a move to a movement.

"Future Mountain Movers made me realize that I was created to be GREAT. All I have to do now is go and be GREAT!"
